Nikon D3s camera shoots pretty in low light! | PHOTOGRAPHY / TECH

One thing that's always irked me with most cameras (even high-end) is how terrible they are when shooting in low light/movement situations. If you don't want to use the flash, it always gets all grainy, or blurry and entirely wonked out. Enter Nikon D3s DSLR. The Nikon D3s is getting a lot of attention for it's Night Vision with 102,400 ISO. If you're feeling your inner-nerd coming out, read Gizmodo's review of the new $5200 (!) camera:

Latest Nikon D3 Upgrades Features
Last week, Nikon took the wraps off a follow-up to the pro-level D3 D.S.L.R. with a new model that features advanced ISO and noise-handling capabilities for better low-light photography, as well as a high-definition movie mode.

The new D3s, a 12.1-megapixel camera with a body-only price of $5,200 (that figure will stop most of you here), builds on the platform of the D3.

With a redesigned full-frame CMOS sensor and expanded ISO settings up to 12,800 (and a whopping 102,400 ISO using “expanded sensitivity” settings), it should excel in low-light photography.
To keep that sensor spiffy, Nikon has added an automatic sensor-cleaning capability.

As for movie clips, the D3s has a movie mode that captures video in 720p resolution at 24 frames a second in full manual mode, meaning you can set the aperture and also underexpose or overexpose scenes if you like.

Interested? You have about a month to save up. The D3s will be available in late November.

Nikon, if you'd like to send a sample camera over to our offices here at Zandl Group, we'll totally give it a test drive. ;)

The colors are also wonderful. I like them vivid, and the D3 delivers. The dynamic lighting which tones down the
highlights and brings out the shadows without messing up to colors is also great.
