ART - Ryan McGinness at Deitch
Went to the opening of the Ryan McGinness show at Deitch March 7th. Visually stunning and gorgeous color and design but too corporate and slick for my personal taste - perfect lobby art and i don't say that as put-down. Supposedly he's subverting corporate iconography but that's not the read I get from the work. That said, I do believe he has created his own iconography and visual language that is unique to him and that's to be applauded. There is no mistaking a McGinness for any other artist's work.

Too much muscle makes a guy look kind of "cheesy". Women have been trying to tell guys for years that they prefer men to have average sized muscles, but with good muscle tone. Women never look good with a bunch off muscle. Those female bodybuilders look like men! Sorry to offend anyone, but that is a really bad look!
