EVENTS - Alternative Spaces for Music Panel
This weekend we checked out a little bit of Arts in Bushwick's SITE Fest (a 2-day performance festival in Bushwick, Brooklyn). A big highlight for me was Sunday's panel discussion on Alternative Spaces for Music at Chez Bushwick moderated by Aaron Short and featuring three amazing women: Sarah Hooper of Jelly NYC (the geniuses behind the McCarren Park Pool Parties), Jennifer Lyon of MeanRed Productions (the folks behind The Yard which we love, and an upcoming SAILBOAT bar called the Clipper City!) and Lily Maase, musician (The Suite Unraveling) and curator of music/art parties in Bushwick lofts.
The entire discussion was uber-interesting. A lot of ground was covered - from the logistics of throwing events in alternative spaces to their aesthetics as organizers and curators. While they deal in very different spaces and on different levels, the three all seemed to come at it from a similarly personal place. We'll be sure to keep an eye on what they all have in store.
Check out some clips from the discussion:
Look them up:

Hi! I'm sure you've been searching the net for a while now, trying to find information on how to gain muscle. Let me let you in on a little secret - most of the information online either is completely false or it is aimed at the genetically gifted few (people who find it easy to build muscle).
