ADS - PARAMOUNT IS A BIG TEASE

Talk about a teaser trailer! Moviegoers who ventured out to see Transformers this weekend probably caught the bizarre and impacting mystery trailer with no title. The trailer starts up with a camcorder style docu-look (channeling the visual scheme of Blair Witch Project) focusing in on a group of young adults hanging out on an NYC rooftop when BAM!!!!! New York City is under attack! In a frighteningly alarming and quick paced chain of bombings and explosions, the viewer starts to realize that the attack seems a little...sci-fi. Black screen...no title. The theater was on pins and needles as this trailer stunned and then confused... What is this film? What exactly was it that we just saw?

Turns out, mega-studio Paramount has been working on a mega-secret project currently dubbed "Cloverfield". The bizarre marketing approach certainly worked on the crowd in the theater, and succeeded in generating mounds confusion, press, and of course further inquiry.
